Fifth Grade Math Worksheet

There are many new concepts that 5th graders must learn. In this grade, they solve one-step equations; calculate mean, median, mode and range; collect, organize and graph data; create and interpret histograms and other graphs; learn about frequency charts; solve addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems with fractions and decimals; classify quadrilaterals; calculate surface area, radius, diameter, circumference and area of a circle; and learn ratio and proportion. There are many other related concepts that 5th graders are expected to know by the end of the academic year.
With so much to learn, it’s easy for 5th graders to be intimidated by math. Helping them learn one thing at a time and understand each concept fully ensures that the kids do not get confused when they attempt tougher problems. Math worksheets for Grade 5 are designed with their curriculum in mind and include problems and activities on different math topics. These worksheets are a useful resource for teachers as well as homeschooling parents who want to give their 5th graders some useful math practice. As kids solve a number of worksheets, they grow more familiar with the different concepts and the speed at which they solve problems also improves.
